Simply click the “Advanced” button to construct complex and precise search queries, which helps you avoid syntax errors. This helps research teams find the best articles for their work with ease.
Full-Text Search
With ReadCube’s full-text search feature, you can scan an entire article’s content, not just titles or abstracts, ensuring no critical detail is overlooked.
Search results of all indexed articles are displayed with highlighted terms within the context of the complete text, showing the exact location of search terms within each document. You can refine search results by applying filters such as publication date, journal name, or author, improving accuracy and relevance.
With Full-Text Search, you can:
- Find articles that mention specific concepts, methodologies, or data points not highlighted in the title or abstract, making literature reviews more comprehensive.
- Reduce time spent sifting through irrelevant articles, gaining more efficient information retrieval, and filtering down to exact keyword phrases within articles.

Build precise keyword search phrases using advanced parameters and logical boolean operators (e.g., AND, OR, NOT). Even if you’re not a search expert, you can easily structure complex search queries and refine them by adjusting parameters.
AI-Powered Search Assist
ReadCube’s premium AI Assist tool makes the search process fast, intuitive, and accessible to everyone, regardless of your query-building knowledge.
It automatically interprets your intent and converts plain or natural language (e.g., everyday English) descriptions into complex, well-structured queries. It processes the text and extracts key concepts, parameters, and logical relationships to construct a detailed search query, ensuring that search results are highly relevant to your needs.
Starred Searches
Starred Searches saves frequently used search parameters and queries for easy access, ensuring consistency in your data collection and research process. Quickly view, sort, and manage a list of multiple Starred Searches at any time, keeping your research organized and structured.
Perform any advanced search option (described above) as usual, inputting your query criteria into the Dimensions toolbar. After reviewing the search results, save the query by clicking the star icon to the right of the search bar at the top of the results page.
AI-Powered Filtering of Search Results
This premium AI-Powered Filtering tool further refines search results based on natural language inputs, making the discovery of relevant articles more intuitive.
For example, a pharmaceutical research team may wish to refine their search results to learn about the side effects of new thyroid treatments.
After launching the “Filter” tool from the top right corner of the screen, you can write your own plain-language query or select from a list of suggested prompts, such as “Filter for papers that explore the adverse effects, side effects, or safety profile.” See the screenshot example below.
You can then review the filtered results and adjust their natural language inputs when necessary.
Email Alerts and AI Summaries
