Bulk ordering in ReadCube lets you request multiple journal articles at once instead of ordering them one at a time. Whether you’re working from a saved reference list, search results, or a pasted list of DOIs, you can submit dozens of articles in a single workflow and have them delivered to your library to read, annotate, and review.

FAQs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Will using bulk ordering cause me to pay for content I already have access to (from libraries, OA, subscriptions)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It will not – our system goes through a Fulfillment Process Order:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. The system checks each article in the batch in the following order:\n
      \n
    1. Check DocDel Library<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Attempt Open Access fulfillment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Attempt subscription fulfillment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Flag articles not fulfilled via OA or subscription for purchase.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      How to Bulk Order Articles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Select the articles in your library<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Select “Find & Access PDF” <\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. ReadCube checks each article against your library, Open Access, and subscriptions, then flags which are available for purchase<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Select “Review Purchases” to request fulfillment of the remaining articles<\/li>\n\n\n\n

                How can I check the status of requests that were submitted for bulk delivery?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                1. Select your initials in the bottom left corner and select \u201cMy Account\u201d. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
                2. Toggle to \u201cDocument Delivery\u201d to view the status of all requests. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                  Can I request a single article with the bulk ordering tool?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Yes. It\u2019s the same process as above. Select your articles and \u201cFind and Access PDF\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Is there a maximum number of articles I can bulk order? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  You can purchase up to 50 articles at a time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  How will I know how many articles were fulfilled by OA vs. subscription vs. require purchase?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  This information will be presented to you before final checkout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Can I review and remove items from the cart before checkout?
                  <\/strong>Yes. Review all items before you select \u201cPurchase PDFs\u201d. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Where is the \u201cLocate PDF\u201d button?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  “Locate PDF” has been replaced by “Find & Access PDF” in the action menus. The new action works the same way for free fulfillment. ReadCube will always attempt to access content through free routes first (your library, Open Access, and subscriptions) before moving on to paid options like tokens or document delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Do Document Delivery approval settings apply to bulk orders?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                  Yes. Bulk ordering follows the same approval settings as Document Delivery, including approval caps and designated approvers. For example, if purchases over $30 require approval, articles over that amount will still be routed for approval during the bulk ordering process.
